The things Andrews says are just completely priceless lately. His mind is a sponge, and it absorbs everything. He hears things when you think he's not listening, and he remembers things longer than anyone I know. I realize that the last post I did was about his random comments, but for lack of better material at the moment, this one is too.

We all know that he's a commercial parrot. If you don't know, read the previous post. Thursday morning we were all getting ready to leave the house (my car's in the shop, so the boys had to drop me off at school), and I had put on a dress or a skirt which was just under knee length. I pointlessly (because I knew I wasn't changing at that point) said to James, "I didn't shave my legs--can you tell?"

Andrew's response? "Mommy, you don't have to shave your legs anymore. There's something new and better! You take the pink thing and rub it on your leg (and he demonstrates), and it takes all the hair off!" I think those things look pretty cool, too...but do they work? Anybody tried them?

The other night during a visit to Grandma and Grandpop's, Andrew and my dad were having a discussion about the correct anatomical name for male "parts." (This came up because Grandma was horrified that I said, "Andrew, be careful you don't hit Daddy in the nuts." I had to explain that he knows them as 'nuts', 'cubes', 'balls', AND testicles, because...well, because he's a parrot.) So, my dad asked Andrew where his his testicles were.

Andrew's response? "Oh! They're beside my balls!"

Sarah--yeah, well, I'm his mom, so I have to think he's pretty cute, except for the times when his head spins around and he vomits pea soup in his Exorcist-like temper tantrums. But somehow, that's even cute sometimes.
